CHARLESTON, W. Va. — West Virginia Legislators will put aside their partisan differences and play basketball, all for a good cause in the annual “Dick Henderson and Tony Lewis Memorial Basketball Game” on Tuesday, Jan. 29, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Walker Convocation Center on the West Virginia State University campus.

The annual event helps to raise money for the American Cancer Society and is named in honor of Henderson and Lewis, West Virginia Legislators who lost their battles with cancer.

“This is a fun time, where we can put aside our partisan fights, and join together in a fun way to honor these two great men,” said Delegate Sean Hornbuckle, D-Cabell. “We invite the public out for an exciting basketball game, where they can meet and talk with their lawmakers."

Tickets are $5 at the door, and all proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society. WVSU students will be admitted for free with their student ID.
