How many students attend WVSU?
We are proud of our diverse and inclusive student population consisting of a large commuter student population throughout the Kanawha Valley, and a vibrant residential living-learning community of approximately 3,692 students from 45 West Virginia counties, 24 states, and 17 countries in 2018. Our small campus makes it easier to navigate, and have a better one on one experience with peers and professors cultivating a strong sense of community.
I am an athlete, can I play sports at WVSU?
Yes. WVSU competes at the NCAA Division II level in five men's sports and five women's sports. Men's sports are baseball, basketball, football, golf, and tennis, while women compete in basketball, cross country, softball, tennis and volleyball, and women's soccer.
