WVSU's A Day in the Park Promises Fun, Food, and Prizes
Institute, WV - West Virginia State University will hold its annual Day in the Park at Shawnee Park in Dunbar from Noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 23. Admittance is free.
It will be a day of fun for all. For the kids there will be a Jupiter Jump, water slide and other inflatables. One hundred bicycles will be given away. Antique cars will be on display with an Early Bird Car Show all afternoon for the adults. The pool will be open and food vendors will be on hand.
An NCAA '11 competition on the X Box 360 will also be taking place, with the winner receiving $300 cash and the runner-up getting $100. Entry is free but spots are limited. Please call (304) 766-3388 or (304) 720-5058.
Raffle tickets will be sold throughout the afternoon with the chance to win flat screen TVs and gift certificates from the Charleston Town Center Mall (good for any Mall store). Drawings will be held throughout the day. Participants do not need to be present to win. The cost is $1 per ticket, $5 for ten tickets or $10 for 25 tickets.
