May 2020 Virtual Commencement Celebration

May 2020 Virtula Commencement Celebration

West Virginia State University will host a virtual commencement ceremony for its May graduates on Wednesday, May 13, at 3 p.m. eastern time.

All graduates have had information sent to their email account on how to participate in the ceremony.

All others are invited to watch a live stream of the virtual ceremony on the University's live stream channel here.

“Because of the COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing social distancing and safety measures that prohibit large gatherings we are not able to hold our traditional May commencement ceremony,” said WVSU President Anthony L. Jenkins. “However, we still want to celebrate our May graduates and all that they have accomplished during their time at West Virginia State University.”

Graduates are encouraged to take photos of themselves and share on social media, using the hashtag #WVSUGrad2020.

All May graduates are also invited to return to campus in December to participate in the University’s traditional December 2020 commencement.
