Campus Fraternities, Sororities, And Service Organizations
Involvement is the key to getting the most from your college experience. Student organizations provide oppornities for growth and development that complement and enhance classroom learning. West Virginia State provides many opportunities to become involved in campus life with more than 30 active organizations. All of the organizations have specific goals, objectives and functions. There is something for everyone, whether interests are social, religious, special, professional, departmental or honorary.

Service Organizations
WVSU Public Relations Student Society of America (WVSUPRSSA)
The West Virginia State University (WVSU) chapter of the PRSSA has developed a student-run public relations firm called Tower Communications. PRSSA implements public relations/advertising programs for campus, state, and local organizations. Members also participate in national competitions, as well as attend regional and national conventions.
The Ambassadors are a select group of students nominated by faculty, staff, and students. They engage in a variety of campus and community services including acting as escorts for campus visitors. Prerequisites for membership: 2.5 GPA and sophomore standing.
Pre-Alumni Club
The Pre-Alumni Club is open to all students and meets every Thursday 12:30 p.m.-1:15 p.m. at the Erickson Alumni Center. The students are involved with community service projects, Homecoming, developing leadership skills, and meeting other students and alumni.
