Publications

Planning and Advancement is responsible for WVSU publications that are distributed to the public. The publications task group consists of P & A staff as well as staff and faculty from across the campus. It is responsible for writing, editing, proofreading, formatting, and photography. Most pieces are printed in-house.

The Stinger is a magazine that is distributed yearly to WVSU alumni and supporters. It contains a review of campus news and events.

State-Mints is a tabloid inserted quarterly in Charleston  Newspapers. WVSU news and  events of interest to the general public fill the four-or-eight page editions. More than 95,000 copies are printed.

The Tower is a quarterly newsletter produced by the Office of Alumni Affairs with contributions from selected members of P & A staff. Campus news and activities of interest to alumni such as the College's Homecoming are contained in its 12 pages.

West Virginia State University is proud to sponsor the Black History Month tabloid each February. The piece is produced by the Newspaper in Education Coordinator of Charleston Newspapers and the WVSU Office of Public and External Relations.The tabloid publication which highlights accomlishments of African Americans in various professions and walks of life is inserted in the newspaper and distributed to area schools.

In Support Of . . . is a quarterly publication of the Development Office for alumni, donors and friends. It features announcements of major gifts and lists various ways to support the University.  

The Advancement Quarterly is a publication of the Development Office designed to provide news, updates and announcements of major gifts to the University.

State-Us Report is a quarterly newletter produced by the Office of News Services for community and political leaders, alumni chapter presidents, WVSU administrators and others. It features highlights of news events and items of interest from the previous three months.

The Intercom is published twice a month by the Office of News Services to keep faculty, staff, retirees and friends informed of news, activities, and upcoming events.

The Oracle is a twice yearly publication of the Office of Institutional Development. Its purpose is to keep faculty and professional staff informed
of relevant trends in higher education

The Land-Grant Quarterly is a publication of the Division of Agriculture, Consumer, Environmental Outreach Programs (ACEOP) designed to keep readers informed of programs, projects, legislation and actitivities related to the land-grant misison of teaching, research, and outreach
