WVSU Honors Program Sponsors Night of the Arts to Benefit Relay for Life

INSTITUTE, W.Va. -- The West Virginia State University (WVSU) Honors Program will present an exhibition and auction by local artists on Friday, Feb. 26, in support of the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

The Relay for Life Night of the Arts will begin at 6 p.m. at the WVSU Economic Development Center, located at 1506 Kanawha Blvd. W. in Charleston.

“The Night of the Arts is a fundraiser that the Honors Program organized to benefit the WVSU Relay for Life, which will take place on campus on Saturday, April 16,” said Dr. Genia Sklute, director of the WVSU Honors Program. “It is a wonderful opportunity to highlight the many talented students and faculty at WVSU.”

Students and faculty members donated art works for the event, as well as local artists from the extended community.
The WVSU Jazz Ensemble will perform during the Night of the Arts, as well as WVSU instructor and pianist Victoria Fatu, the Montclaire String Quartet and others.

Tickets are $25 per person, or $40 for two, and are available for purchase online in advance by clicking here. Tickets will also be available at the door on the night of the event.

All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
