Tree Planting and "Take Back the Night" Events on April 22

Between 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. The WVSU chapter of the Student Environmental Council (SEAC) will be planting trees on the campus in celebration of Earth Day. The chapter is part of a national network of organizations whose aim is to uproot environmental injustices through education and action. The group recently began a recycling program on the campus.

"Take Back the Night" will be from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the Student Plaza. The purpose is to raise awareness of the seriousness of sexual violence. April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Free refreshments and hot dogs will be provided. Guest speakers will address the topic. For information contact Nola Willard at 304-204-4029.
