The Office of Academic Affairs at West Virginia State University welcomes you to our website and to the  and to the 20 majors that are offered. We take considerable pride in our small classes, significant faculty-student interactions, and the diversity that makes WVSU a "living laboratory of human relations." Faculty are involved in a variety of efforts to bring the classroom and the community closer together. They are well-trained. Over two-thirds of our faculty hold the terminal degree in their field.

 

We hold significant national accreditation for our majors in Education, Chemistry, Social Work and Recreation. WVSU is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association.
