Teaching interests: Organic Chemistry, Introductory Biochemistry, Green Chemistry, and Advanced Organic Chemistry.

Genia Sklute received her B.Sc. at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where she developed a love of organic chemistry. She then earned her M.S. and doctorate in chemistry at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology before moving to Stanford University to take a position as a Fulbright postdoctoral fellow. In her current position at WVSU, she develops novel synthetic methods in organic synthesis, which will allow access to a highly functionalized skeletal through a concise and highly selective route.
